Boarding Training
You can board train your pet at Canine Campus, Inc. where they can learn on and off leash obedience, protection work or even earn their Canine Good Citizen certification from the AKC. While learning, your pet stays in one of our extra large suites. They will enjoy the quiet mountain atmosphere and natural surroundings while receiving one on one attention from a professional trainer. Board Training is great for those who have limited time or dog training experience. Often Board Training can be scheduled around vacations and out of town trips. Board Training is custom tailored to you and your pets needs. No two programs and taught exactly the same. This assures your pet receives the right training for their age, gender, breed and personality.
In-Home Training
Your pet can learn the same courses while enjoying the comforts of home in one of our private in-home training programs. We will come to your home once a week for the duration of the course you choose. In your home we can work with you and your pet in a private familiar setting. Classes average 1 to 1 1/2 hours each week. You get to learn along with your pet and participate in their training every step of the way.
On-Site Training
We also have Private Training Classes available. Classes are taught at our facility with one on one instruction from a trainer. You get to learn how to train your dog while utilizing our facility and equipment. Classes are 1-2 hours each week. This is similar to In-Home training except you save money by coming to our facility and your dog doesn't board with us but goes home with you at the end of each lesson.
AKC Canine Good Citizen - The Canine Good Citizen Certificate is an official award from the AKC (American Kennel Club). Its purpose is to evaluate pet dogs to be reliable, well-behaved, sociable members of their families and communities. It will test you and your dogs' level of responsiveness and demeanor, while in the presence of other people, dogs and public places. The test consists of ten different exercises. Dogs must pass all ten exercises to receive the certificate. This is a non-competitive event, meaning your dog will not be competing against other dogs or handlers. There is no age limit to when the test can be given. All breeds are welcome including mixed breeds. The test costs $25.00 and includes 1 free retest if needed, a certificate of completion from Canine Campus and a CGC collar tag. (An official certificate may be requested from the AKC directly for a nominal fee).
If your dog has received any training or instruction from Canine Campus, Inc., you may automatically participate in a CGC test at NO COST to you!!
